Melissa has been a dedicated member of our organization since 1999 and has proudly worked exclusively at Hickory Tree for the past 27 years. She lives in Salisbury with her husband, Randy, and their three dogs, Colt, River, and Chevie. As Office Manager, Melissa is committed to ensuring that both you and your pets receive exceptional care and a positive experience during every visit to Hickory Tree Veterinary Hospital. |

Head Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer has been a valued member of the Hickory Tree team since 2008. Prior to joining our hospital, she worked with the Forsyth Humane Society and brings over 20 years of experience in animal rescue and veterinary medicine. Jennifer is passionate about helping clients understand the best medical care options for their pets and is dedicated to supporting both pets and their families every step of the way. |
Registered Veterinary Technician
Ronnie is extremely passionate about animals and dedicated to her work in the veterinary field. She shares her home with a wide variety of pets, including dogs, chickens, spiders, and many other unique companions. Ronnie takes pride in providing high-quality customer service and compassionate care to both our clients and their pets. 
Veterinary Assistant
Ariel has been a valued member of our veterinary team since July 2021 and brings more than four years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant. She lives locally with her husband and their daughter, Zola. Ariel also shares her home with Jolene, her lovable Aussie mix, who is an important part of the family. |
Receptionist
Dana is a valued member of our receptionist team and rejoined our hospital in 2016. In addition to her talent as a groomer, Dana’s exceptional customer service skills made her a perfect fit for the front desk, where she helps create a welcoming experience for our clients and their pets. She lives locally with her husband, Michael. 
Receptionist
Rhylie joined our team in 2024 as a Veterinary Assistant and has since transitioned to the front desk as a Receptionist, where her friendly personality and strong client connections shine. She loves helping clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for during every visit. Rhylie enjoys spending time with her canine companions, Sheba and Winnie. |
Kennel/Day Care Attendant
Heather joined our Day Care and Kennel team in June 2023. She is a great pet advocate, making sure your pets are healthy and happy during their stay with us. Heather and her husband, Noah are raising their canine family, Pebbles, Rigby, and Kiwi. 
Kennel/Day Care Attendant
Nicole joined the Kennel and Daycare team in 2025 and brings a true passion for animal care to our hospital. At home, she cares for her own “mini zoo,” which includes a variety of exotic pets along with several other beloved animals. Her love for animals of all kinds makes her a wonderful part of our team.

Veterinary Assistant
Emily, joined our team in 2024 as a Veterinary Assistant and is passionate about helping care for patients and supporting their families. She shares her home with her canine companions, Bentley and Buddy, as well as her feline friend, Sophia. 
Groomer
Michelle is our groomer at Hickory Tree and brings over 25 years of grooming experience to our team. She is a Master Groomer, earned her degree from Groomingdale’s, and is a proud member of the NDGAA. Michelle is dedicated to providing exceptional care and grooming services, ensuring your pets are always in great hands. 
Kennel/Day Care Attendant
Natalie has been a member of our Daycare and Kennel team since 2025. She lives locally with her family and pets and enjoys caring for animals while they are spending time with us. Natalie is dedicated to helping each pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved during their stay.
