Piglet
In Memory Of
In the early spring of 2004, a card board box of 5 grey newborn kittens were abandoned at
our front door. The veterinarian and staff began bottle feeding the kittens.
Within a very short time, some of the kittens' health declined and we were soon left with only one.
This one surviving kitten was so gluttonous in his feeding, he's name became "Piglet".
Normally we would have place Piglet in a new family home, but as a young kitten running around the hospital,
stalking staff, and disturbing our daily routines, it became apparent we were all smitten with Piglet.
His presence at Hickory Tree is very comforting to us and he is quite popular with our clients. Piglet is now 16 years old, he's not running, or stalking, but is always nearby for staff to give him his daily massages.
His favorite spot to hang out is in our recycle paper box, where he can keep an eye on his staff.
We lost our beloved Piglet February 16th, 2021 to an on going illness. He will forever be a legend of our hospital.
